The Regional Capital Markets Conference will be showcasing for the first time in Malaysia , top bankers from the region to speak on topics relating to structured products, securitisation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate financing and securitisation, fund management and Islamic finance.
The aim is to create a conference for exchange between Malaysian investment bankers and the region's most reputed investment bankers from the world's largest investment banks in terms of ideas and the latest techniques available in the global capital markets.
Financial innovations have grown tremendously over the past few years in the region. Singapore , Korea , Taiwan and Hong Kong have been active in utilising securitisation and synthetic technology and trading them. The number of REITs issuance has increased in Asia beginning with Japan , Korea , Singapore , Hong Kong , Taiwan and Malaysia . Investors in Asia are becoming more familiar with the use of derivatives, synthetics and looking to cheaper ways of financing that are available in the global capital markets.
