Malaysian Investment Banking Association (MIBA)

The Malaysian Investment Banking Association (MIBA) was incorporated on 9 September 1975 to:-

• Promote, enhance, support and safeguard the interests and business of the investment banks;
• Promote and facilitate a forum and community where investment banks can support, collaborate and contribute constructively and actively towards developing and enhancing the infrastructure, operating environment, innovativeness and competitiveness to deepen and widen the depth and breadth of the Malaysian capital market;
• Promote and facilitate close collaboration, consultation and the exchange and sharing of ideas, experiences and knowledge with the Government, regulatory authorities and relevant domestic and international organizations towards growing a sound, dynamic and competitive capital market;
• Promote a sound understanding and capture value from the development of global trends in the capital markets and the key implications and competitive challenges posed by these trends on the future of the Malaysian capital market; and
• Promote and uphold sound business practices, ethics and highest standards of professionalism within the industry.
